This one wasn’t actually a call, but I thought it was kind of funny. We recently hired a new agent, Tom. He had been working here for a couple of weeks, but because he’s only in a couple of days a week, it was taking him a while to “learn the ropes”. One day, he was on a call and ran into something he wasn’t quite sure about, so he said to the caller, “One moment, I just have to check my manual.” He then placed the caller on hold, turned to me and said “Hey, Scott?” He seemed puzzled when pretty much much the whole call centre burst out laughing.
